What exactly does your design studio do?
We design spatial objects, sculptural joinery, and adaptable modular systems that serve as lasting assets for your business by shaping environments that work, inspire, and evolve with your needs.
Why do you design objects rather than permanent fitouts?
There's a place for fixed fitouts, but we focus on objects and project-specific joinery because it’s smarter for brands that need flexibility. When your business evolves, your space should too, without renovation. Objects can be reconfigured, added to over time, and adapted as your needs change. They're more sustainable and give you genuine adaptability.
What is multi-use furniture?
Multi-use furniture is designed for multiple functions, offering flexibility without compromising aesthetics. It maximises space efficiency while maintaining a sophisticated feel.
Benefits:
Saves space; ideal for businesses working with compact footprints.
Increases functionality; one piece serves multiple purposes.
Enhances guest experience; adapts to different needs without effotr.
Examples:
Stackable plinths that function as seating, product displays, or cocktail tables.
Wall-mounted folding tables in cafes that can be tucked away for standup/cocktail events.
Modular seating systems in a hotel lobby that rearrange for different group sizes or events.
What is custom sculptural joinery?
Sculptural joinery celebrates the craft of how something is made. Instead of hiding connections, the joinery itself becomes part of the design, like timber joints, connectors, and intentional material combinations. Every piece is designed and finished specifically for your brand and space.
Do you offer small-scale solutions?
Yes! We love small. We can start with an entry-level service — like furnishing your space with custom joinery or multi-use furniture — or we can bring your space alive by evaluating the sensory experience and setting out a plan to help you build a deeper connection within your environment. It all depends on where you're at and what your space needs right now.
What investment and considerations should I be aware of?
Traditional fitouts might cost less upfront but more over time. When your business changes (and it will), you face renovation costs, downtime, and waste. Modular systems might require a bigger initial investment (depending on the project), but you adapt without rebuilding.
The difference is that fit-outs are an expense. Objects are an investment in an asset you own and can evolve.
We're here to help you define your level of adaptability, uncover the potential in your space, and guide you through the possibilities, one clear step at a time.
