Long wooden table with three black metal pedestal bases, a section with a dark wood finish, and a small marble-topped extension on the right side.

The idea was to have a large entertaining dining table that could also be an intimate dining setting for the family of four. This design was created to be separated for family dinners and brought together for larger gatherings. It’s context a long narrow hall between the great room (living) and the outdoor pavilion, it needed to be proportioned to the space whilst being functional. The final design included the smaller table to be a matching square timber top.

Created for an international design competition, the brief included an innovative take on the humble coat rack. The concept was created from the simple pleasure of moving blocks around a bead maze, from my youth. From there the design took shape as a modules, that can be recreated through a series of design from a lookbook. Both freestanding and press mounted between floor and ceiling it can suit both commercial and residential applications.

The Premise of the project was to ‘reflect beauty’, so the finishes needed to embody this and convey the message visually, throughout the space. To create a visually appealing environment, the design included textured walls, elegant quartzite countertops, and rich timber. The narrow layout presented challenges, so the colour mixing studio and kitchen were placed in the center to reduce traffic at the back, for a calm atmosphere. The central cabinetry holds administrative items and provides access to the kitchen and color mixing area, while also increasing seating capacity.

Tempo Cafe in Terrey Hills, NSW, offers healthy food for cyclists and visitors. It has become a popular stop for passers by and the local cycling track. The cafe name inspired the interior concept to emulate raked zen gardens, as seen in the rendered wall, that have different types of working clocks. The space needed to relfect the fresh and clean produce that would be created in the kitchen. It is a light, fresh and airy spot and is suitable for all.
